Request a Cognitive Apprenticeship

Tell us what you need and well find the most qualified cognitive mentors in your area.

Be specific. What are you looking for? Don’t just ask them, “will you mentor me?” Be very specific about what you need help with, what form you want that help to take, and what you envision your meetings looking like. Make a specific request so they know what they’re agreeing to. You’re much more likely to get a “yes” if you’re specific.

This is where that preliminary brainstorming on your part will help you articulate just what you have in mind.

You will have an opportunity to clearly describe the guidance you’re seeking. You will also be asked to confirm your willingness to do the necessary work and follow-through. Our mentors are highly successful in their business and careers, which means they’re also very busy and much in demand. There’s nothing more frustrating than mentoring someone who doesn’t do the work necessary to take advantage of advice, so you want to make it clear to your potential mentor that you’re ready to commit the time, energy and effort to make the most of their counsel (and time).

Never Stop Learning

The MyDAD education initiative was launched to ensure every father could better their lives and the lives of their kids by furthering their education and training. Our goal is to match dads up with the kind of education and training that they need to pursue the career they want. The MyDAD Center for Excellence offers access to over 1000 learning opportunities.

We are stronger together

One of the areas in life that can cause the most confusion for people is in the role of parent. More often than not there is no right or wrong answer, and it can be very challenging to find the middle ground between being too lenient or too much of a tyrant when it comes to having rules for your children. That is why we created the MyDAD fatherhood program. It is designed to provide training, education and support to fathers and their kids to help navigate this area of life so they can have the strongest relationship possible.

Jobs Not Jail

The MyDAD Recidivism initiative was launched to reduce the rates of recidivism that has been crippling communities around the world. It is a fact that many people who get out of jail will commit some other crime and wind up right back where they started. This program offers essential life skills training and development, continuing education, certification, job preparedness, and entrepreneurship courses. With our innovative holistic solution, we help ex-offenders make a successful return to society.

Better Jobs = Better Lives

Soft Skills Training

Fathers are able to apply for jobs, take courses, earn certifications and build their careers. With so much information out there and not enough time to research it all, fathers often need a short cut to success. Workocity gives them that.
